Should you route an eGC1 marked NO to the Ready to Submit question?
Absolutely! OSP encourages timely submission of eGC1s that are ready for a meaningful review. This supports quality proposal review both within campus units as well as institutional review in OSP.
However, for campus reviewers and OSP to provide a meaningful review, the Administrative Elements must be complete.
Administrative elements include the components of a proposal that do not contain final scientific explanation or visualizations relevant to the scope of work. The draft “Scope of Work” (“SOW”) affiliated with the proposal is required. The draft must be far enough along to allow for the accurate identification of any potential compliance issues.
Administrative elements also include any other documentation such as subrecipient and cost share documentation or others required by the UW and not the sponsor. This also includes areas such as facilities, resources, and IT capabilities, as well as formatting and sponsor requirements.
