Assistant Vice Provost for Research Integrity – Mandy Morneault

 

Mandy Morneault serves as Assistant Vice Provost for Research Integrity in the Office of Research, where she provides operational leadership and oversees key compliance and administrative functions that support the University of Washington’s research enterprise. In this role, Mandy supervises the Human Subjects Division and the Office of Research Misconduct Proceedings, ensuring ethical, compliant, and responsible research practices across the institution. She also oversees OR’s Learning & Training Programs, HR and operations, and strategic communications, and serves as the UW’s Institutional Official for Human Subjects Research, Responsible Conduct of Research, and Research Integrity.

As a member of the Vice Provost for Research’s Executive Committee and the Office of Research Leadership Team, Mandy contributes to strategic planning and organizational improvement efforts that strengthen UW’s research infrastructure and advance its mission. She works closely with leaders across all three UW campuses to address operational challenges, align resources with institutional priorities, and foster a culture of integrity and collaboration.

Mandy joined the Office of Research in 2023 as Chief Administrative Officer, where she led modernization initiatives to streamline research administration and improve efficiency across compliance, HR, and operational systems. Her previous experience over the past two decades at UW includes leadership roles in finance and administration for UW School of Medicine’s Departments of Bioethics & Humanities and Immunology, as well as positions focused on regulatory knowledge, clinical research infrastructure, and compliance oversight.

She holds a Master of Health Administration from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan. Mandy is committed to advancing research that serves the public good and drives meaningful impact for a better world.
