SAGE Budget Legacy Retirement Fall 2021

Thanks to valuable user feedback, the Office of Research Information Services (ORIS) launched a redesigned SAGE Budget tool in 2020 with a more streamlined, efficient, and intuitive look and feel that also lays a foundation for upcoming integrations between SAGE and Workday.

This Fall 2021, SAGE Budgets created using the old (legacy) format will be upgraded to the new design

During this upgrade, the SAGE Budget legacy format will be retired, including the option to create SAGE Budgets using the legacy format.

What does this mean if you have created SAGE Budgets using the legacy format?

Legacy format SAGE Budgets will automatically be upgraded to the new design on the night of the release, with the exception of a small handful of legacy budgets that cannot be upgraded due to technical reasons. Budgets that cannot be upgraded will either be available for export within SAGE Budget, or will need to be recreated using the new design. We will reach out to the administrative contacts on these budgets if either action is needed.

How can you get started using the new SAGE Budget format?

If you haven’t already, we encourage you to become familiar with the new SAGE Budget design as soon as possible:
