Research Security Update

This message was shared with all active PIs & MRAM. 

We are pleased to announce a 1-hour Research Security Training is now available to UW researchers. This training satisfies federal sponsor requirements on Research Security Training for covered individuals and has replaced the 4-hour offering.

Individuals who have already taken the 4-hour training via the UW’s required training do not have to retake the training. The new version of the training will appear in MyResearch Training Transcript (MRTT) as Research Security Training (Combined) Basic Course.

Note there is a 1-hour delay before completed courses will appear in MRTT.

As a reminder, all covered individuals at the UW are required to complete the UW’s required Research Security Training before a proposal is submitted to federal sponsors with a research security training requirement. Please ensure to take the offering through the UW training registration so that completion records are up to date.
