MRAM – Payroll Accounting Adjustment (PAA) Freeze Lifted for 8/1- 8/15/2025 Payroll Period

We are pleased to share that the freeze on Payroll Accounting Adjustments (PAAs) has been lifted. The Payroll Office has completed all necessary PAA processing, and the ability to submit new PAAs for the August 1 – 15, 2025 pay period has been reinstated.

Although the original issue occurred in August, related corrections and reversals were processed in September and October. To accurately review your August costing, please run reports using October as the accounting month. At this time, we recommend using the R1269 Report within Workday.

A small number of employees with grants in closeout status or default FN/FD999 costing will require separate PAA handling by their departments. Cost Center and Grant Managers will be notified directly regarding these cases.

If you find an employee is still missing their fringe accounting, submitting a PAA should resolve the issue. If you encounter any problems—i.e., such as possible duplicate charges mentioned previously by College of the Environment—please submit a UW Connect ticket and select “Journal Entries” as the topic. This will route the ticket to FA Financial Reporting, and the University Controller’s Office will work with you to review and resolve the matter.
