Common Federal Disclosure Forms – Biographical Sketch, Current and Pending or Other Support

The National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) Research Security Subcommittee (NSTC) developed Common Forms for the Biographical Sketch & Current and Pending (Other) Support to align with the NSPM-33: Disclosure Requirements and Standardization section. The NSTC is encouraging federal agencies to harmonize their required Biographical Sketch and Current & Pending (Other) Support forms.

Effective May 20, 2024, the National Science Foundation (NSF) will require these Common Forms for the Biographical Sketch & Current and Pending (Other) Support as set out in NSF’s 2024 Proposal & Award Policies & Procedures Guide (PAPPG).

NIH plans to implement these forms in January 2025. We expect other agencies to adopt these forms.

At an upcoming MRAM we will cover this requirement along with the NSPM-33 reference tool: Pre- and Post-award Disclosures Relating to the Biographical Sketch and Current and Pending (Other) Support. The tool includes guidance on

  • the types of activities to report
  • where to report them in the application
  • when updates are required in the application and award lifecycle
  • a final column identifies activities that are not required to be reported

As always, make sure to follow specific agency instructions when responding to a funding opportunity.
