Community of Practice for Research Administrators (CoPRA)

Purpose

A tri-campus community led by and for UW practitioners of research administration who share a passion for their work and believe they can learn to do it better through regular interactions with members of their community.

Need

• Knowledge is a critical asset that has been decimated with the massive transformation of systems and transition of people at the UW.
• This community of practice will focus on the people doing the work and create a social structure that enables them to learn with and from each other, rebuilding lost knowledge and fostering innovation.

Benefit

• Members can expect to gain valuable insights, share best practices, and develop professionally through collaborative learning.

Activities

• Regular community meetings to facilitate in-depth discussions and collaboration to resolve current challenges in the work
• Teams channel and chat for online discussions to sustain ongoing dialogue and knowledge sharing
