Nonfinancial Compliance Basics

**Note: This course is under development. Registration is not yet available. Launch of this online course is planned for Winter 2020.

This online introductory course provides an overview of the major non-financial compliance areas that impact research. We will explore their key features, the University activities they apply to, and related policies, regulations and/or procedures. We will also discuss considerations a Research Administrator needs to be aware of, and where to find answers to questions a Primary Investigator may ask. Each topical module of the course ends with a summary of University resources (website, training, contacts) specific to that compliance area.

Compliance areas covered in the course include Financial Conflicts of Interest (FCOI), non-Significant Financial Interest (non-SFI) Conflicts of Interest, Research Ethics, Human Subjects, Vertebrate Animal Use, Environmental Health & Safety, and Export Controls.
