MRAM: Impact of 8/1 – 8/15/2025 Payroll Accounting Adjustment (PAA) Freeze on In-Progress PAAs

I am writing to provide an important update regarding Payroll Accounting Adjustments (PAAs) related to the 8/1 to 8/15/2025 payroll period. The PAA freeze was lifted Wednesday, October 22nd at 2:50pm.

  1. In-Progress PAAs Including the 8/1 – 8/15 Pay Period Must Be Cancelled and Resubmitted: Many campus customers created PAAs during the freeze with the intention of submitting them once the freeze was lifted. Unfortunately, Workday has confirmed that any In-Progress PAAs including the 8/1 to 8/15 pay period must be cancelled.
    • Note: Payroll has already cancelled all In-Progress PAAs for the 8/1 to 8/15 pay period.
  2. Multi-Period PAAs: Option to Adjust: If you have In-Progress PAAs involving multiple pay periods, you may:
    • Remove the 8/1 – 8/15 pay period and submit the remaining adjustments.
    • Enter the 8/1 – 8/15 pay period as a separate PAA.
    • Note: Payroll will not cancel these multi-period PAAs unless specifically requested.
