For PIs: SAGE Budget Performance Issues

The following email was sent to active Principal Investigators on Thursday, July 24, 2025. A companion email was sent to the SAGE/MRAM email lists.

Since SAGE’s necessary move to AWS cloud infrastructure, the SAGE Suite – particularly SAGE Budget – has been experiencing significant performance issues. ORIS has released improvements across SAGE in the weeks since, but the process to improve SAGE Budget performance to satisfactory levels has been challenging and is ongoing as a high priority. Grant Administrators are experiencing a high level of frustration around delays to their work and have been providing ORIS with valuable feedback to prioritize work targets. We apologize for the disruption during this busy time for you and your administrators.

In light of this, we recommend drafting items in SAGE early, especially if your work involves large or complex budgets with many personnel and worksheets. Please allow extra time for you and your Grant Administrators to complete your work.
