The System for Award Management (SAM) is the federal procurement database. All entities that want to do business with the federal government must be registered in SAM.

The Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) manages the UW’s SAM registration used to apply for federal award funding related to sponsored programs (605799469).

OSP does not manage individual unit registrations related to provision of goods/services to the federal government, nor the one used for student financial aid.
