UW Steady at No. 28 in the World, Fourth Among U.S. Public Institutions; No. 1 on CNBC U.S. Public Colleges that Pay off the Most

The University of Washington was recognized this week for its global impact in teaching and research, as well as for its value to graduates compared to cost of attendance.

The UW has been ranked No. 28 on the Times Higher Education world reputation rankings for 2019, released Wednesday. And the UW was rated the No. 1 public university in the country by CNBC Make It on a list of schools that “pay off the most.” UW Bothell was No. 2 on that list.

“We are proud that through the incredible teaching and research collaborations across the University of Washington’s academic community, we are advancing scholarship and scientific inquiry. But we are even more excited to be creating access to affordable higher education for our students who learn and grow in this vibrant learning environment,” said UW President Ana Mari Cauce. “We’re grateful to have the global impact of this important work recognized.”
