UW named to the Top 100 Worldwide Universities granted U.S. Utility Patents in 2021

On September 7, 2022, the National Academy of Inventors (NAI) and the Intellectual Property Owners Association (IPO) announced the Top 100 Worldwide Universities Granted U.S. Utility Patents in 2021, based on data obtained by the United States Patent and Trademark Office. The University of Washington at #32, was named in this listing of worldwide institutions.

 

Paul Sanberg, President of the National Academy of Inventors wrote to the UW, “The Academy is pleased to publish this important report which highlights the vital role patents play in university research and innovation and it is an honor to recognize your Institution for these tremendous accomplishments.
