UW Jumps Two Spots to No. 8 in US News Best Global Universities Ranking

The University of Washington moved up two spots to No. 8 on the U.S. News & World Report’s Best Global Universities rankings, released Tuesday. The UW maintained its No. 2 ranking among U.S. public institutions.

“We are proud to be consistently recognized for the excellence and impact of our scholarship across so many subjects,” UW President Ana Mari Cauce said. “It’s especially gratifying to see the work of outstanding programs like infectious diseases and immunology listed among the very best in the world at a time when we need discovery and innovation in these areas more than ever.”

In addition, 10 subjects at the UW are ranked in the top 10 in the world.
