Guidance on Research Involving Marijuana

Federal law regarding the use of marijuana and cannabidiol in medical research continues to evolve. Please refer to the following federal updates:

• Executive Order increasing medical marijuana and cannabidiol research
• DEA order loosening restrictions on products regulated by state medical marijuana licenses or some FDA approved products
• Notice of hearing scheduled to begin 6/29/26 regarding the rescheduling of marijuana from Schedule I to Schedule III of the Controlled Substances Action
