The Northwest Center for Public Health Practice (NWCPHP) promotes excellence in public health by linking academia and the practice community. As part of the University of Washington School of Public Health, NWCPHP provides training, research, and evaluation for state, local, and tribal public health in six Pacific Northwest states - Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, and Wyoming.
NWCPHP offers online courses, tabletop exercises, monthly webinars, in-person trainings and institutes as part of its practice-based continuing public health education.

NWCPHP is an active partner in public health systems and services research (PHSSR). PHSSR uses data, research techniques, and evidence to study the barriers to maximum efficacy and provide guidance for public health agencies seeking to improve their practice and service.

NWCPHP focuses on three areas of evaluation: evaluating public health programs, evaluating training needs, and evaluating trainings. We have developed a widely-used training evaluation model, as well as standardized training evaluation templates. NWCPHP also provides program evaluation to organizations throughout the region.
