Mission

The Regional Clinical Dental Research Center (RCDRC) provides facilities and resources for translational and clinical research relevant to the pathogenesis, diagnosis, early detection, prevention, control, and treatment of oral diseases, disorders, and/or dysfunctions.

Core Services Offered

The RCDRC has two large dental research operatories, a biomedical wet lab, sterilization facilities, and space for clinical research support staff. The RCDRC has project coordinator, dental assisting, and dental hygiene staff support that conduct studies both in the clinical facility and in the field. The Director of the RCDRC, Dr. Douglas Ramsay, is available to consult with investigators about potential research projects.

Funding Information

The RCDRC is supported by the Institute of Translational Health Sciences (ITHS) funded by grants UL1 TR002319, KL2 TR002317, and TL1 TR002318 from the NIH National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences through the Clinical and Translational Science Awards Program (CTSA).

Reporting Structure

The Director of the RCDRC reports to the Associate Dean for Research in the School of Dentistry.
