The mission of the Institute for Medical Data Science (IMDS) is to advance UW’s capacity for discovery and application of artificial intelligence and data science technologies to improve biomedical research, optimized outcome and cost of healthcare delivery, provider and patient satisfaction and the health of the population.

We have identified >90 projects in Medical Data Science in Healthcare ongoing at UW. A number of these projects are funded by the NIH, industry sponsors and other means. We have an ongoing workstream with UW Medicine Development. Project areas include:
