Shipping Dangerous Goods in Excepted Quantities – Online
This training covers those materials that can be shipped as a dangerous good in excepted quantities and what cannot, the quantity that can be shipped, how it must be packaged, and the proper package labeling. This classification can save you time and money the next time you ship small quantities of dangerous goods.
Who is required to take this training?
Faculty, staff, and students who ship only small amounts (under 30ml/1 oz.) of hazardous materials, especially for air cargo shipments
Summary of the requirement
Federal regulations require that all persons who mark, label, package, document or classify hazardous materials for shipment be trained and certified by their employer. They need to complete initial training followed by recurrent training every 2 years.
