This hands-on course covers inspection and safe operation of powered industrial trucks. This course will teach you about the operational differences between a car and a forklift, power sources, capabilities, stability, and carbon monoxide hazards while operating propane or diesel trucks inside buildings. A written test and a driving test, scheduled separately from the class day, must be completed to receive an operator’s license.

Learners can operate a forklift under the direct supervision of a certified operator until they are sufficiently skilled to take the class.
