I have a joint appointment with the VA. I need to document why I am not requesting full salary funding for my UW appointment, calculated from IBS. What should I include in the budget justification so my effort is not considered cost share?

“The role and scope of employment of VA faculty falls within the scope of work on {name of proposal} and is not in addition to existing effort paid by the VA.  Contributed effort should not be considered cost sharing on the part of the University of Washington.”
