Application

To be considered a visiting exchange student you must complete an online application through UW Study Abroad in order to be admitted to the University of Washington.

Deadlines

For entry during autumn quarter, apply by April 1 (application open January 1).

For entry during winter quarter, apply by August 1 (application open June 1).

For entry during spring quarter, apply by November 1 (application open September 1).

Admissions Timeline

Undergraduate admissions decisions typically occur during the following timeline:

  • Autumn quarter entry: Early – Mid June
  • Winter quarter entry: Mid to Late October
  • Spring quarter entry: Mid to Late January

Graduate admissions decisions vary widely by department, but you can use the undergraduate timeline as a rough estimate.
