Gilman Scholarship Info Sessions

The Gilman Scholarship seeks to support undergraduate students typically underrepresented in study abroad. Receive up to $5,000. This award is open to all undergraduate majors and to the various programs offered through UW Study Abroad.  You must be receiving a federal Pell grant through the Office of Student Financial aid to be eligible for this award. This workshop will provide students with an overview of the program, eligibility requirements, application components and writing tips for strong application submissions.

Are you considering study abroad for the first time? We are excited to help you plan and answer your questions. These sessions will tell you what you need to know to get started searching for programs and how to take advantage of scholarships.

Let’s Talk Money

These workshops are meant to help students plan for the financial cost of study abroad. Students will learn how financial aid and study abroad work together to lower out-of-pocket costs, receive information about upcoming scholarships, tips on purchasing airfare, important forms and deadlines to remember and more.
