Friday Night Activities

Admission is free for Rec members and all equipment is provided for Roller Skating and Log Rolling. See details below for Archery information.

UW Employees without a Rec membership must pay the UW Employee single use fee of $10.50 (includes tax). Guests (16 years of age or older) are allowed with a sponsor and must pay the guest fee of $14.00 (includes tax).

See the Guest Policy for more information.  Please note that our Friday Night Activities are very popular and are first come first serve for Roller Skating and Log Rolling, so you may experience wait times.  Arrive early to secure your spot!

Autumn 2025 Schedule

Activities are held every Friday, from September 26th, 2025 to December 5th, 2025.

Program-Specific Details

Archery

To participate, you must attend the required safety training at the start of the session.

Participants

Each session can accommodate 8-12 participants. Fewer than 8 participants will result in the cancellation of that session.

Sessions

  • 6:00 PM – 6:45 PM
  • 6:55 PM – 7:40 PM
  • 7:50 PM – 8:35 PM
  • 8:45 PM – 9:30 PM

Pricing

$9.40 per session per participant. This price covers the cost of three archery instructors.

Registration

Registration for an archery session opens on September 15th, and stays open until 2 days before the session. Payment is due at registration. There will be a waitlist employed for each session. UW Recreation Members Only.

Roller Skating

Participants

There is a maximum of 20 participants at one time – plan to arrive early to secure a spot!

Pricing

Skate rentals are free!

Log Rolling

Participants

There is a maximum of 4 participants at a time (2 participants for each log). Participants must follow all directions from lifeguards when using the logs.
