Recreation

What is Peer Nutrition?

In our Peer Nutrition Program, our resident dieticians will work one-on-one with you to provide individualized nutrition counseling. Oftentimes, nutrition is the missing element when it comes to becoming a healthier you! At UW Recreation, we strive to help you achieve your health and wellness goals. These sessions with the dietician will help you foster sustainable and healthy dietary habits.

Benefits of working with a Peer Nutritionist:

  • Receive an initial nutrition assessment to explore your relationship with food, assess your baseline dietary habits, and discuss your nutrition-related priorities
  • Set specific and measurable nutrition-related goals
  • Develop an individualized nutrition plan based on your needs and lifestyle
  • Find accountability and consistent support through attending regular sessions
