School of Social Work

Social justice, empowerment, multiculturalism, and social change are of primary importance to the faculty at the UW School of Social Work. Faculty believe that the true test of the quality of a society is in the way it responds to its most vulnerable members. Teaching, research, and community service are not abstract; rather, they are intensely practical, focusing on critical issues that matter to individual lives and to society at large.
