Faculty councils serve as deliberative and advisory bodies for all matters of University policy, and are primary forums for faculty-administrative interaction in determining that policy. Faculty Code, Sec 42-33.
FCGEJ shall be responsible for all matters of policy relating to the interests of gender, sexual orientation, and gender identity. Faculty Code, Sec 42-47.
Until June 2021, FCGEJ was known as the Faculty Council on Women in Academia (FCWA).
