The following Ambassadors began participating in DO-IT as Scholars in 1994. They continue to pursue college and career goals and encourage younger DO-IT Scholars and Ambassadors.

Anthony, '94 Scholar

Cerebral palsy and learning disabilities
Works in research and development at the Prentke Romich Company. Lectures on augmentative and alternative communication. Assists with Talking With Technology, a summer camp for augmentative and alternative communicators ages 7-21.

Ben, '94 Scholar

Spinal muscular dystrophy
Earned a bachelor's degree in English from the University of Washington and a law degree from Pepperdine School of Law. Passed the Washington State Bar Exam in 2004. Works as a lawyer in Kennewick, WA.

Undiagnosed severe neuropathy
Founder and co-director of GimpGirl Community (http://gimpgirl.com/). Married.

Maria, '94 Scholar

Post-polio
Lives in Vancouver, WA, with her husband and child. Works for a utility company and enjoys being a mother.

Learning disability
Earned an associate's degree from Pierce Community College. Works as a shop supervisor for Pacific Office Automation.

Health and orthopedic impairments and dwarfism
Graduated with a bachelor's degree in computer science from Utah State University. Works for 21st Century Technologies as a software engineer. Married.

Health impairment, nervous system dysmorphia, and congenital scoliosis
Studied physics, biology, mathematics, and computers at the University of Washington. Lives in Japan, pursuing a technology career.

Earned a degree in psychology from Southern Oregon University.

Worked at Columbia Industries in Kennewick, WA. Died in October of 2003.

Earned a bachelor's degree in psychology and chemistry from Oregon State University (OSU) and a master's degree in information technology management from the University of Phoenix. Now chief technology officer and director of information services for the OSU College of Business.

Chronic lyme disease
Earned a bachelor's degree in biology from Pacific Lutheran University and a Certificate in Sign Lanuage. Works in the field of microbiology.
