Council Chair Brian Fabien is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering whose research interests include the kinematics of mechanisms, dynamic system analysis and optimization, as well as control system design. Fabien was awarded a Presidential Faculty Fellowship from the National Science Foundation in 1993, and a Fulbright Scholarship for research and teaching at the University of the West Indies, Trinidad, in 1997.
