Gilman Scholarship Information Session

This scholarship awards up to $8,000 for undergraduate study abroad.  Must be receiving a Pell grant through the Office of Student Financial Aid Office to apply.  Open to all majors for programs at least 21 days in length. This session will provide an overview of the program, eligibility requirements, application components, application cycles and deadlines and tips for writing competitive essays.

  • Thursday, February 28th, 4:30-6:30pm, ECC Computer Lab (ECC)

If you need help getting your application over the finish line, come to this lab.  We will have experts on hand to read drafts of your essays, provide feedback, and answer any questions you have prior to the application submission deadline.

Identity Abroad Discussion

Come listen to UW students share their experiences navigating various aspects of their identity abroad.  This discussion is a wonderful way students preparing to go abroad in 2019 to start grappling with ideas of race, class and gender against the backdrop of differing cultures.  Snacks will be provided.
