Nate Novy recently finished his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry at the University of Washington-Seattle, and next fall will be starting a Ph.D. program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Nate minored in climate science and is especially interested in biochemically-based sustainability research. This summer, Nate is working with Nathan Ennist in David Baker’s lab to design chlorophyll-binding proteins that could serve as components of an artificial photosynthesis system. Outside of research, Nate enjoys dancing salsa, reading, and kayaking.
