Application Procedure & Resident Selection

The University of Washington Laboratory Animal Medicine Training Program participates in the matching program administered by the American Association of Veterinary Clinicians (AAVC).  Applicants must submit their applications and have required materials uploaded to the Veterinary Intern and Residency Matching Program (VIRMP) site according to the deadlines listed on the site (these vary slightly every year).  Details on the matching process are described in detail on the VIRMP site and our Program webpage and at the American Society of Laboratory Animal Practitioners

*Important Note:  The application deadline for laboratory animal/comparative medicine training programs is earlier than other internship and residency programs to ensure sufficient time for programs to schedule interviews with prospective candidates.
