Regulatory Medicine Rotation
This is a short rotation, occurring once, and taking no more than 2 hours a week for 3 months.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
- To instruct trainees regarding laws and regulations pertaining to the care and use of laboratory animals.
- Review didactic material regarding laws and regulations
- Participate in side-by-side review of animal protocols and research grants
- Attend IACUC meetings
- Participate in semi-annual site visits
- Lead veterinary monitoring of individual protocols
- Participate in IACUC protocol review
