UPDATE: We are now pleased to offer monthly virtual personal preparedness courses beginning December 2021.  If you would like to attend, please reach out to disaster@uw.edu. NOTE: EOC Tours will NOT be offered until further notice.

Whether you’re ready to build a kit for your family, are worried about the “Big One”, or are trying to better prepare your team to respond to campus after an emergency, personal preparedness is essential to taking care of yourself in any disaster.

April EOC Tour and ClassUW Emergency Management offers FREE personal preparedness presentations at the Emergency Operations Center each month.  These interactive sessions provide an overview of the university’s disaster response system, provide an overview of UWEM, and provides practical tips on how participants can become better prepared at work and at home for any disaster – large or small.  Unless the date conflicts with a legal holiday, the EOC/Personal Preparedness workshops are always held on the second Friday of every month, between 10 and 11am at the UW Tower, Room C-140 (Just follow the signs).
