Reporting to the Vice President for Facilities, UW Emergency Management (UWEM) is an independent department of the university comprised of a small team of dedicated professionals that strategically collaborate and work with internal and external partners to ensure the safety and well-being of the entire university community. Put simply, our job is to “connect-the-dots” when complicated incidents, disasters and crisis events impact our complex university organization.
