2021 and 2022 Personal Preparedness Courses

UWEM is pleased to announce the annual schedule for our Personal Preparedness Course.  For the first time, this will be a virtual offering to accommodate individuals that may be remote, as well as provide convenience for attendees. UW EOC tours are not being offered at this time. Please email disaster@uw.edu to sign up today!

Whether you’re ready to build a kit for your family, are worried about the “Big One”, or are trying to better prepare your team to respond to campus after an emergency, personal preparedness is essential to taking care of yourself in any disaster.

UW Emergency Management offers FREE personal preparedness presentations at the Emergency Operations Center each month.  These interactive sessions provide an overview of the university’s disaster response system, provide an overview of UWEM, and provides practical tips on how participants can become better prepared at work and at home for any disaster – large or small.  Unless the date conflicts with a legal holiday, the EOC/Personal Preparedness workshops are always held on the second Thursday of every month, between 10 and 11am via Microsoft Teams.
