Salary and Benefit Rates – General Information

FY22 Compensation Changes

Following the February 26, 2021 release of the FY22 initial compensation planning letter by the Executive Office of the President and Provost, a FY22 merit authorization letter was sent Deans, Chancellors, Vice Presidents and Vice Provosts on May 26, 2021. This letter authorized, subject to approval of the FY22 operating budget by the Board of Regents in June 2021, a 2 percent merit pool for certain eligible and meritorious faculty, academic staff and professional staff in FY22. The Board of Regents approved the FY22 operating budget on June 10, 2021.

Workday Restricted Entry Periods

To support efficiency and accuracy in loading approved merit recommendations, units will be temporarily restricted from initiating some business processes in Workday starting on June 1, 2021.

Units are prohibited from submitting certain types of Workday transactions during the following two restricted entry periods. This matrix applies to merit-eligible faculty, academic staff, and professional staff. This matrix does not apply to other job profiles.

  • For general merit questions, your first point of contact should be your Dean/VP’s office unit administrator.
  • For questions on how to cancel or rescind actions in Workday, please email the Integrated Service Center (ISC) at ischelp@uw.edu or call 206-543-8000 between 8am and 5pm, Monday through Friday.
