Participate in Parent & Family Weekend 2018

Showcase your work and the many ways you’re helping UW students achieve the ultimate Husky Experience at Parent & Family Weekend 2018. The festivities kick off on Friday, April 13, and on behalf of the wonderful team planning our 3rd annual PFW, I’m thrilled to invite you to join the adventure.

There are three ways to connect with more than 2,000 students, friends and family throughout the weekend. I hope you’ll consider participating in any or all of these ways, and encouraging your colleagues to do the same:

Sign up for a booth at the Boundless Opportunities Fair — Friday, April 13; HUB Street

Share information and resources with Husky families, and inspire students to get involved with your programs.  Claim a coveted spot at the Boundless Opportunities Fair:

Host a deep-dive session — Friday, April 13 or Saturday, April 14

  • From hands-on demonstrations to performances to immersive experiences, you can offer guests a one-of-a-kind, behind-the-scenes look at your latest projects, research, campus partnerships and more. Host in your space, or let us know if you need a venue; we may have a HUB room available for your use.
  • Propose an idea, and we’ll follow up with you shortly to get the process started.

Volunteer to help Husky families feel at home

  • Enjoy getting to know colleagues from across campus and other volunteers as you greet families, serve as ambassadors and assist visitors in need of resources and information.
  • Whether you choose to lend a hand for a few hours or the whole weekend, plenty of options are available to fit your schedule and interests.
  • Let us know if you’d like to pitch in and we’ll send you more details soon.

We’re excited to partner with your unit and programs at PFW! It’s a great opportunity to highlight your work and engage with Huskies and their friends and family. Please let us know how you’d like to get involved by Feb. 20.

If you have an idea that you don’t see listed here, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our Parent & Family Programs team at

As always, thank you for all you do to make the UW extraordinary – not only as a place to live, learn and thrive for so many Huskies, but also as a true source of pride for their parents and families. We look forward to collaborating with you and your teams on a PFW that promises to be the best yet.
