Who is eligible to use the Crags?

For the Fall of 2021, currently enrolled UW students & those with an active IMA Membership are able to purchase a day pass or Crags Quarterly Climb Pass.

Crags Quarter Pass

Transitioning back from COVID-19 modified procedures

  • Masks are required for all Individuals, regardless of vaccination status.
  • Personal water bottles are to be left in the Crags Lobby and no food is allowed.
  • Liquid chalk is HIGHLY ENCOURAGED
  • Crags lobby and high touch points will be cleaned at the end of every day!

About Crags

  • Over 5,000 square feet of climbing area.
  • 23 top rope stations up to 44 feet in height with ~15 configured for lead climbing.
  • Dedicated bouldering area with an average of 40 routes up at any given time.
  • Rope routes range in difficulty from 5.6 – 5.13 with boulders from V0 – V8+.

Wilderness Educator & Adventure Leadership program

UWild Adventures’ Wilderness Educator program is the first step on the trail to becoming a trip leader and instructor. 

This course covers essential skills that every wilderness instructor, guide, and trip leader must develop:

  • backcountry decision-making, 
  • risk mitigation and management, 
  • leave no trace ethics, 
  • group development and management, 
  • sporting and living skills.
