- The autumn quarter pass runs from September 29th through December 5th.
- FREE Preview Week classes run September 22nd through September 26th

- Cycle class will require Pre-Registration. All other classes will not.
- Drop-in passes are available at the IMA front desk for $10 per class.
- We want every student to be able to attend our classes. If you have a financial need, consider applying for the Student Recreation Fund.

- Click on the purple “Log In” button in the top right corner.
- Click on the purple “UW NETID” button to log in.
- Once on the Rec Class pass page, click on the grey “duration” bar.
- The quarter will automatically change to the current quarter. Click the purple “Add to Cart” button.
- Click the purple “Checkout” button. This will happen twice to confirm you want to checkout.
- You will receive a receipt via email (to the email on file, usually your UW email).

Cycle Pre-Registration
Due to high demand, participants are required to register in advance for any cycle classes they would like to attend, to secure their spot.
To pre-register for a cycle class:
- Navigate to our cycle pre-registration portal, and sign in (upper right corner) using your UW NetID.
- If you do not have a UW NetID (Plus One, Affiliate, or Alumni) and require login access, please e-mail recinfo@uw.edu with the following information:
- Subject line: Member Portal Access
- Reason for request: “I would like to pre-register for cycle classes.”
- First name
- Last name
- Preferred pronouns
- Phone number
- You will receive a response from recinfo@uw.edu containing login credentials and instructions.
- If you do not have a UW NetID (Plus One, Affiliate, or Alumni) and require login access, please e-mail recinfo@uw.edu with the following information:
- Select the program(s) you would like to pre-register for from the available options.
- Select the date(s) and time(s) of the class(es) you would like to pre-register for, and select “Register”.
- If prompted to select a Family Member, select the family member you are pre-
registering for (or yourself if registering for yourself), then select “Register” again.
- If prompted to select a Family Member, select the family member you are pre-
- Select Pay in Full (total should equal $0.00).
- If total does not equal $0.00, please e-mail our team at recfitwell@uw.edu.
- Select “Checkout” twice, once when viewing your cart, and once again in the pop-up window
asking you not to refresh the page.
Cancellation
If your plans change after you have pre-registered for a cycle class, you are required to cancel your
registration.
To cancel your registration for a cycle class:
- Navigate to the program registrations page on your profile, and log in (top right corner of page) with your UW NetID.
- Under “Program Registration”, find the class you would like to cancel/change. Click the three dots
all the way to the right of the program listing. - Select “Cancel Registration.”
If you fail to attend a class you are pre-registered for, your absence will count as a “no-show.” If you
accumulate three no-shows, your Rec Class Pass will be deactivated without refund.
We will send e-mail notifications of any and all no-shows. If anything unavoidable arises that prevents
you from canceling your registration and attending a cycle class, you are encouraged to reach out to Jeff
Palmer, Assistant Director of Fitness, Wellness, and Sports, at jpalmer8@uw.edu to share your situation.
Classes Offered
In this beginner-friendly yoga and mindfulness class, you will
move your body with your breath as you practice self-awareness, acceptance, and
compassion. With regular practice, you will become stronger, more flexible and
balanced, and improve your capacity to be present in each moment off your mat.
This core- and leg-focused class combines elements of Pilates and
strength training! You will feel stronger, healthier, and more balanced after this class!
This is a gentle, yet strengthening, Hatha-style practice.
We focus on grounding postures, alignment, and steady breathing to cultivate
harmony within. Perfect for all levels, this class guides you through a series of poses
that open, strengthen, and stabilize the body.
New to cycle? This is a great place to start! Enjoy a ride that focuses on the
basics set to music from all different genres!
An expressive dance that combines elements of several
dance genres including modern, jazz, lyrical and classical ballet!
Cycle Conditioning is an energizing class based on cycling
intervals that range in intensity. This morning class will build strength and endurance
as well get the circulation flowing as you listen to upbeat music that matches each
pace. Breathing exercises and stretching are incorporated to help the muscles feel
good and align posture for the day.
This class combines Yoga, Pilates, and ballet-inspired exercises to
activate your “dance muscles,” followed by an energetic, fun dance. Open to all
levels—build strength, balance, and enjoy moving!
This class is all about high energy cardio, dance
choreography, and most importantly, having fun! Whether you’re a beginner or
advanced dancer, you are welcome in this class!
Come dance, sweat and have a great time at this 50-minute, all-levels
dance party!
Unlike any cycling class you have taken before! This high energy
“night” ride features uniquely crafted EDM playlists, visuals, and movements in sync
with the beat that will leave you sweating and ready for more!
Strike first and strike hard in Fight Fit! This is the perfect introduction to
kickboxing. Each week, you’ll learn new techniques, from basic strikes to
combinations, and immediately put them to the test with dynamic pad workouts.
This class is designed to build your skills, boost your confidence, and give you a killer
workout, whether you’re a beginner or looking to refine your technique. Get ready to
punch, kick, and sweat your way to better fitness!
End the day with endurance focused flow yoga. Engage your
inner muscles, develop postural control, and cultivate balance in and out of the
studio. *Unique lighting will be used*
Join us for fun in the H2O! This class combines buoyancy and water
resistance to tone your muscles in a cardio-focused workout. We alternate using
shallow and deep water for a variety of moves to get your whole body working!
Participants joining us for the deep-water days must be able to tread water
confidently.
Experience full body high-intensity interval training (HIIT) class that expertly
blends cardio and strength training for a full-body workout. Whether you’re new to
exercise or a seasoned athlete, this class is designed for all fitness levels. Each week
brings a new focus with varied exercises and equipment, keeping the workouts fresh
and challenging. You’ll cycle through heart-pumping cardio intervals and targeted
strength moves that hit every major muscle group, helping you build endurance,
strength, and overall fitness.
This class is designed for students who are familiar with
basic yoga principles. If you want an extra challenge or are looking to advance your
practice, then this class is for you!

Practice a fun and exciting new routine each week!
Strengthen your core, gain flexibility and improve your mind body
connection in this 50-minute workout!
A faster paced flow class that will focus on strength and alignment
building.
Build mobility through strength and flexibility! Using props
and body weight, you will learn how to do drills (special practices designed for
conditioning the body) that carefully prepare you to get into specific poses. This class
will also educate you on the benefits, considerations, and risks of various yoga
postures.
Start your morning off with a bang! This dynamic class will leave you
energized and ready to take on the day!
A practice focused on conscious breathing, deeper holds, and basic
postures to support you throughout your day!
A more dynamic heat-building practice that synchronizes movement
with breath.
Focus on cultivating mindfulness and deep relaxation while working to
improve alignment and body awareness. This class is perfect for those looking to
reduce stress, enhance flexibility, and find a sense of calm amidst their busy lives!
When muscle meets yoga, Yoga Sculpt is born. Boost metabolism and
build lean muscle mass as you move to upbeat tracks. Transforming traditional
yoga postures into a practice with a twist, using light weights to tone your whole
body and build long lean muscle while challenging your body and mind.
Frequently Asked Questions
While the quarterly Rec Class Pass is reserved only for Rec members, non-members entering on a guest pass are welcome to purchase a drop-in pass from the front desk to attend a single Group Fitness class!
