International Pride

International Pride

When it comes to sexual and gender orientations, identities, and expressions, students who identify with nationalities and cultures beyond the U.S. can have vastly different ways of exploring, navigating, and understanding their queer and questioning identities.

Feel free to also contact us at intpride@uw.edu for additional resources, to raise any needs and concerns, or for a friendly chat as we all continue our journeys of exploration 🙂

With this in mind, International Pride aims to:

  • Promote and maintain safety as students explore their queer and questioning identities, especially UW international students and students who might not be familiar with the U.S. context. In this context, safety is defined as mental, physical, cultural, legal, and medical safety.
  • Build community and connections around the intersection of students holding a) international backgrounds and b) queer and questioning identities.
