MyUW rebuild and UX disciplines: April 2014 Web Council

Learn how user experience is more than just wireframes during our April Web Council.

MyUW rebuild

Karin Roberts from Academic & Collaborative Applications will share a project overview of the MyUW rebuild and answer any questions about what changes will be made and how this will impact faculty, staff and students.

The disciplines of user experience

Patrick Neeman, director of product design at Apptio, will give us an overview of the different disciplines within the user experience field and how each best contributes to various projects. He will also share some basic tools we can use to improve our websites.

Mobile Minute

A monthly snapshot from the mobile world.

Choosing the best tool for the job

Web Team developer Jon Swanson will walk through the development and implementation of the revamped UW Today newsletter and show how the team pivoted from one approach to another in order to create the best possible end product.

Heartbleed update

Wondering how the critical Web security vulnerability dubbed “Heartbleed” impacts the UW? Daniel Schwalbe and Melissa Albin from the Office of the Chief Information Security Officer will give us an overview and answer any questions.
