Undergraduate Research Program


Undergraduate Research Program staff are available for advising on all aspects of undergraduate research, including:

  • Planning for a research experience
  • Finding a research position or research funding
  • Identifying and applying for research programs
  • Getting academic credit for research
  • Presenting or publishing your research
  • Writing an email to a potential mentor
  • Preparing a resume to share with a potential mentor

1. Required First Step: Attend an Information Session or Request a Recording

Spring Term: Fridays from 2:00-3:00 PM (virtual)

Join us for a virtual information session to learn the steps for getting involved in an undergraduate research experience. This is a comprehensive session that covers what research at UW looks like, benefits of undergraduate research, who can get involved, and how to find and write an introductory email to a research mentor.
