November 2017 Issue of DO-IT News Released

The latest issue of DO-IT News is out, featuring a wide variety of content. The front page article features DO-IT winning the Frances Pennell Economic Opportunity Award, given by the Northwest Access Fund and honoring organizations that provide people with disabilities opportunities, programs, or resources for economic advancement.

This issue also features our media coverage in a UW College of Engineering news post, specifically discussing AccessEngineering's makerspace endeavors. There was an article featuring DO-IT Program Counselor Tami Tidwell, who was nominated for a Governor's Committee on Disability Issues and Employment award, as well as an article featuring participant Rahil, who has been interning with Digital Future Lab.

Other articles included a how-to guide for planning disability awareness events, features of new DO-IT videos, a report featuring AccessComputing and AccessCSForAll, and a thread on Disability Disclosure in the workplace.
