For international undergraduates (first-years and transfers):

Academics
Complete required Advising & Orientation (A&O) parts:
- Complete A&O Part 1: Self-guided New Husky Checklist and Husky Foundation Course
- Make reservations for A&O Part 2 & Part 3 (May 20 – July 1)
- Attend your reserved A&O Part 2 (July 6 – August 20): Your personalized agenda & Zoom links will be emailed to you via nstp@uw.edu.
- Submit official transcripts before July 15
CIRCLE Support (strongly recommended)
- Attend a Virtual International Husky Welcome by CIRCLE (June 20 & 27)
- Attend RCG summer Zoom sessions (July 10 – August 16)
- Join your assigned Regional Connection Group (RCG) social media chat, to receive in-chat support throughout summer and the rest of your Husky journey.
For exchange students:
- Follow this checklist for inbound exchange students to UW. If you have any questions, email uwexchanges@uw.edu.
- Join the Regional Connection Group (RCG) Instagram group chat for 2026-2027 exchange students to receive in-chat support, by opening this Instagram link on your cell phone.
- A required in-person J-1 Student Orientation is scheduled for September 24, 2026. More info will be shared with you via emails.
For international graduate students:

Attend virtual Pre-Arrival Essentials Series by CIRCLE offered June 26 – August 15
For all students:
- You are required to meet immunization requirements in order to be enrolled at UW.
- You are strongly recommended to set up your UW email using this “Manage UW NetID Account” link. You can choose:
- Use it as an Office Outlook 365 email, by activating “UW Office 365” on the menu
- Use it as a Gmail, by activating “UW Google” on the menu
- Forward it to your personal email (but NOT 163.com email which sometimes auto blocks UW email), by setting up “UW Email Forwarding” on the menu
- You are strongly recommended to submit your Husky Card photo before you arrive.
