Volunteer

Student, staff, and alumni volunteers are critical to the success of the Undergraduate Research Symposium.

If you would like to be added to our potential volunteers list, send an email to urp@uw.edu and we will contact you when the event gets closer. You will then be able to sign up for specific roles and shifts.

Potential volunteer roles are outlined below.

Wednesday and Thursday before the Symposium

Setup easels, tables, etc. in preparation for the Big Day!


Friday, the day of the Symposium

General Assistants

Greeters, Poster Setup, Traffic Directors, Food and Beverage Station Attendants, Registration Support, Signage

Oral Presentation Session Assistants

Note: Session Assistant Volunteers must be willing to attend a brief training prior to the Symposium.

Take a fun, important and active role in assisting Oral Presenters and Faculty Moderators with technical equipment, keeping time, etc. for oral presentations.

Registration

By Invitation Only: Registration Volunteers must be invited by URP staff to sign-up and train for registration shifts.

Assistance in registering all presenters of the Undergraduate Research Symposium.

Tear down

Clean up and tear down event.
