Nearly 100 regional minority community and civic leaders had the opportunity to meet newly appointed University of Washington President Michael K. Young at a special reception held in Kane Hall, August 16.
President Young, along with his wife Marti, greeted and became acquainted with members of the President’s Minority Community Advisory Committee, as well as several other influential community members of color. During the reception, President Young reiterated the importance of diversity, thanked leaders for their support and displayed his enthusiasm for working together in the future.
