Creating pathways to STEM
The Washington State Legislature created the Washington MESA program in 1984 to empower students in science, technology, and math fields and degrees with the tools and support they need to pursue successful STEM careers (RCW 28A.188.080). Washington MESA is among the 10 “MESA States” in the national MESA USA network
Washington MESA provides enrichment and access opportunities to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) programs for grades 6 –12 and college students across the state.

Our programs
College Prep
The College Prep Program engages middle and high school students (grades 6-12) in STEM and helps them become competitive college applicants.
Transfer Prep
The Transfer Prep Program cultivates a transformative environment for college students, helping them prepare for and advance in STEM careers.
MESA University Program
The MESA University program is a new initiative for Washington MESA and brings MESA services to 4-year universities.
