Faculty Council on Student Affairs – They met and introduced themselves. The chair gave an background on the student conduct changes and shared information about academic misconduct. There was extensive discussion of the charge letter and subcommittees were discussed. The charge letter will be voted on in the upcoming weeks.
Faculty Council on Teaching and Learning – They met and members introduced themselves. A slide deck was shared on subcommittee norms. There was discussion of the charge letter and an electronic vote will occur within the upcoming weeks. There was discussion of two subcommittees (one on AI and one on accessibility).
Faculty Council on Benefits and Retirement – They met and introduced themselves. The chair gave background on the work the council performed the previous year and expectations for this year. The charge letter was approved with minor changes. A member of HR shared information and documents about a retirement policy consolidation project and another about the loan policy. The chair explained that the council would have a week to make comments on the documents. HR also gave an update on the RFP and their current plan for FCBR’s involvement.
