Dear Huskies,

Summer is right around the corner, and we want to congratulate you persevering through the 2024-2025 academic year! We are excited to share some upcoming opportunities to celebrate your achievements and enjoy the summer months in Seattle. This beautiful city has so much to offer during the summer season, and we want to ensure you make the most of your time here, whether you’re staying for the break or preparing to return home.

Before summer officially starts, CIRCLE is hosting a light breakfast for undergraduate students from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on June 10 @ CIRCLE office. Come hang out, grab a bite and collect your CIRCLE stole. Graduate students, the end-of-year celebration will take place tomorrow from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. in the Oak Hall Denny Room. Whether you are a graduating or continuing student, please join us to celebrate your achievements with peers, enjoy good food, hear stories from graduating students, and take pictures at photo booth. You will also receive stoles and graduation gifts selected by the CIRCLE team.

As the academic quarter winds down, Seattle comes alive with many vibrant summer activities! Whether you are a foodie or a music enthusiast, Seattle has something to offer. The CIRCLE team compiled a list of fun activities from June to September. Ring up some friends and invite your family members. Let’s immerse ourselves in the rich cultural scenes of Seattle.

Looking for good food?

  • June 28 Gobble Up SLU: Want to support small batch food producers? Check out Gobble Up SLU featuring local artisan food and drinks.
  • July 11 to 13 Ballard Seafood Fest: Celebrate Seattle’s maritime heritage with incredible seafood offerings in the heart of downtown Ballard. While you are there, check out Ballard’s vibrant Sunday markets as well.
  • July 25 to 27 Bites of Seattle: Attend this premier food festival featuring over 300 local restaurants, food trucks, and live entertainment at Seattle Center. Pay for food only. No entry fee required.

A Slice of Arts and Culture:

  • July 17-20 Seattle Art Fair: Check out this international art fair showcasing modern and contemporary art at Lumen Field Event Center.
  • July 25-27 Bellevue Arts Fair: Shop from 275+ inspiring artists showcasing unique, handmade craft and art and enjoy free programming like Bellevue Art Museum exhibitions, Kids Fair, food trucks, and much more.
  • August 1-3 Seafair Weekend Festival: Check out Seattle’s signature summer festival with parades, air shows, and boat races. Find out more about their series of summer events here.
  • June to November FESTAL Cultural Festivals: Enjoy the offerings of extraordinary festivals in-person at Seattle Center. Festál is where you can learn about the diverse ethnic communities that contribute to the cultural vibrancy of the Pacific Northwest (click the link for festival dates).

Music and Entertainment:

  • July 24 to 26 Timber! Music Festival: Join Timber! an Indigenous-owned music festival at Tolt-McDonald Park and immerse yourselves in this 10-year tradition celebrating music discovery and nature

Whether you’re staying in Seattle all summer or only for a short time, we encourage you to take advantage of these incredible opportunities to relax, explore, and connect. From food festivals and art fairs to cultural events and outdoor concerts, there’s something for everyone.
